Japan Ranked # 2 as a Study Abroad Destination

Japan is ranked second as a study abroad destination in the whole of Asia. The education portal educations.com conducted a survey with over 20,000 international students as respondents and their thoughts in choosing a country to study in. The rankings were based on seven factors:

  7. To attain a visa

Japan is considered to be a pioneer in quality education with three universities in Japan belonging to the top 100 universities ranking worldwide 2018-2019.

Japan remains a popular choice even if the cost of living in the country is quite higher compared to other Asian countries. However, the number of scholarships and grants that Japan awards to international students is very generous and tuition fees are affordable. Japan is also known to be one of the safest countries in the world and employment opportunities after graduation are promising for many students. Japan is currently home to about 140,000 international students.
