Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?
The most fun event in my eyes was the BBQ, being able to connect with all the students regardless of the level is a nice experience. I also enjoyed the trip to the Japanese Highschool and I wish that there were more those kinds of event, where you can interact with Japanese culture/people more in detail, while also practicing your Japanese.
What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?
I did enjoy learning the kanji and I am happy with the rate at which we learn kanji, the only thing I have realised is, that I won’t remember a lot of them, which is not too much of an issue because they some of them are niche. That being said some of them are frequently used. Those kanji I wish would appear more often in the materials we are using in class.
What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?
Since my weakness was by far writing I enjoyed doing that in class, as well as having test, for they give you a need to study even more outside the classroom.
Any suggestions for improving class activities or materials?
I was happy with the amount and the rate at which we learned kanji, though I would have like some of the kanji that are more frequently used to show up more often in the materials used in class.
