Elijah from Winter 2026

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I thought that the teachers all had a different way of teaching the class in each their own interesting but enthusiastic way. The most helpful activities for me were talking to different classmates in Japanese and going over conversations.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most productive parts of class was going through conversations with my classmates repeatedly. The least productive was the fact that we don’t go over the grammar (particles) as much as I would hope for in class and is mostly up to us to remember in our free time.

Any suggestions for improving class activities or materials?

I think focusing more on grammar during class growing an understanding and more memory on the rules in Japanese grammar.

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

It’s best to come into this program with at least foundational Japanese skills.

KCP is a great choice if you are looking to improve your Japanese language skills while experiencing everything Japan has to offer. The school will make sure that your experience is enjoyable, and they will do their best to accommodate to your needs. If you have never been to Japan and want to experience studying in this country I highly recommend KCP. They will give you the true ‘Japan school life experience.
