It (the program) seemed rigorous yet fair and taught at a pace that would teach me everything I wanted without wasting time.

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

Personally I found the classes themselves to be the most satisfying. The teachers were extremely helpful and motivated and while they taught at a fast pace they did everything they could to ensure the students understood the material.

Why did you select this program?

It seemed rigorous yet fair and taught at a pace that would teach me everything I wanted without wasting time.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

I found the English support class invaluable to my studies. I also thought that the amount of time spent in class was perfect. I was not very fond of the picnic, aside from the fact that I got lost trying to find the group and ended up being late I did not see the point of it.

What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?

Learning about the history and culture of Japan along with learning about the overall psychology that Japanese citizens tend to share.

Where did you reside over the course of this program?

Dormitory

Where did you live?

Kasai

Were you pleased with the general living arrangements? Anything you especially liked? Any problems you experienced?

I am extremely satisfied with the living arrangement I have been provided. Shiraishi-San, the dorm manager, is very kind and helpful, the breakfast/dinner plan is very cheap yet the meals themselves are large and very healthy, the rooms are huge compared to most dorms and come with many useful things like a stove, bathroom, and refrigerator, and the building itself is very clean. I could not ask for a better dorm.

Testimonials

I selected this program because it allows me to use my student loans to attend, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to have this experience. I also wanted a challenge and to improve my fluency as fast as possible. The pace at KCP is challenging but helps me focus.
