I enjoyed the trip to Sea World.

Shayla from Winter 2016

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I enjoyed the trip to Sea World. The shows were very entertaining and cute. I was able to spend quality time outside of class with my teachers and classmates and got to know them better.

Which co-curriculum classes did you find most satisfying?

The conversation class

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

I loved how the classes were only instructed in Japanese and had consisted mostly of non-English speaking students. Though the bus trip was nice, I wouldn't call it very productive and I know some people who have rather been able to choose whether or not to participate in it.

Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?

I would suggest they try to study as much Japanese as possible before coming to KCP. The classes are vigorous and it would be extremely helpful for them to have some knowledge of Japanese before attending class. I would also suggest for them to study in a place where they do not get distracted easily. If they find themselves getting distracted, they should find somewhere else to study.

Testimonials

I’m a bargain shopper so I looked at a lot of different study abroad options in Japan before selecting KCP. I was slightly worried because I literally could not find any bad comments about KCP anywhere online, and that made me suspicious. … But the truth is, KCP is simply the best! I have no complaints at all. For anyone seriously interested in learning Japanese, KCP is fast-paced but really fun. I totally recommend it!
